Damaged siding is more than cosmetic. Once a panel is cracked or holed, the water barrier behind it is doing a job it was never meant to do alone — and the damage moves inward from there.

What we look for

Storm damage to siding, and what it leads to.

Hail cracks and holes panels; wind lifts and unseats them at the seams. Either way the failure isn’t the panel — it’s what gets behind it afterwards.

Cracked, chipped, or punctured panels, concentrated on the storm-facing elevation
Panels unseated or lifted at the seams, where wind got behind the course
Damage to the moisture barrier or sheathing underneath, which is the part that actually matters
Staining or swelling at the base of panels, indicating water is already getting in
Impact damage to trim, corner posts, and J-channel that compromises the whole assembly

Matching

The honest problem with partial replacement.

Siding fades. A panel manufactured today will not match a panel that has spent fifteen years in Texas sun, even if it’s nominally the same colour and profile — and some discontinued profiles cannot be matched at all.

This matters for insurance, because whether a carrier covers replacement of undamaged siding for the sake of a uniform appearance depends on your policy and on how the claim is presented. We’ll tell you honestly what a partial replacement is going to look like before the work happens, rather than after.
